I bought a bug two weeks ago and can confirm that the latest revision of the firmware now supports cue and review on recorded tracks. however, it also seems to have put another layer onto the how one uses the pod’s keys. for example, if you want to change from preset one to preset two, you have to press any pod key to invoke a key layout map on the display, and only when this is displayed can you press the preset to change to another station. also if you want to fast forward in a recording, you need to press any one of the pod’s keys before you can press the number 6 key, which is in fact a cue key - i.e. you can hear parts of the programme played as you travel through the recording. finally, it may be of interest to other potential users that the recorded format is mp2, which when transferred to a computer via your flash card reader can be played with winamp, or you can convert the file into wav or mp3 by using CDEX. One great benefit of the 5 minute review being recorded to the bug’s internal memory is that when you hear a song which you’d like to keep, you can wait until its finished playing, then go back to the beginning with the 5 minute review let it play and record it onto the flash card - very neat. I have successfully used a 256 mb card in the bug and it records between 4 and 5 hours of audio. by the way, if you come to the end of the card’s memory, the bug closes the file correctly, which it also does if you turn it off during the recording with the nav button. steve green -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
