With the introduction of Digital broadcasting there is now no excuse for not
serving any section of Society, even if it means that extra channels have to
be used to do this effectively.

We all have to pay a licence fee, even if it is only half of it, so a headline program like that should have tests that are inclusive. In a time when we can't even access all of radio any more because we can't use any text with digital services etc we really need to ramp things up here I think. They are supposed to have universal coverage, so they can bloody well try and make things accessible, otherwise, I think organisations like RNIB would be justified in campaigning for the abolition of the licence fee and therefore the BBC in its current format.
