Dave, you have my sympathies mate. Been there, wore the shirt, read the book etc. If you are having one of those days, perhaps you might want to leave the phone alone if it works then (smile). My latest approach is to turn the ****ing thing off and walk away when it's like that because the more you persuade the more you might sometimes (lol).

Have fun. I don't envy you.

Jackie,

I'm having problems with both home and work pc's at moment, my phone is the only bit of access kit that's working properly at the moment. The rest of my kit, JAWS, J-SAY and Dragon naturally speaking are driving me round the twist., if my phone stops working, you'll hear about some blind guy who went berserk, and smashed all his computers to bits!!! LOL

Dave

Hi Dave

No, I've just been messing about with Pay-As-You-Talk for the moment, but I'm going to point the browser to my network at home while I use it in the house. It doesn't seem to cost much to browse pages. It's when you download that appears to knick your credit.

Having a quick scout round, I can't see many advantages to the update in terms of texting and using the calendar etc. But Ian says that using Wayfinder Access with the latest update is an improvement in some respects.

Go for it. Look if I did, and I'm not as techie as some, I'm sure you'll have no bother.

Hi Jackie,

I presume you are using a wireless network while you are at home? and
therefore not running up a large phone bill. I use virgin, pay as you go,
and it costs £5 per MB, so not cheap. Is browsing the net the only
advantage of the latest update?

Cheers

Dave

For those following this thread, I have now got my N91 browsing the web.
I was having a problem with Vodafone Live, and still am. But I went to
Google and typed in Teletext, just for something to bring up in the
search. From there, I went to the Teletext page, and of course headed for
the sports headlines. From there, I went to the football pages, and to
news about the Champions League games tonight. I must admit I could spend
hours and hours browsing on it, the whole thing is fantastic. Yes sure I
can do that on the Internet using my PC, but it's quite something else to
lift the phone and do it anywhere.

So for those thinking of updating TALKS, I would recommend going to the
latest version if you are that way inclined.

Jackie
