Hi, I would remove Cygate and just use the Windows Firewall. I've been using Windows Firewall ever since I owned my first Windows XP machine, and, touch wood, I haven't been hacked once. Hope that helps.

Hi all -

Started having the same problem again, where I could only receive incoming mail, with my SMTP server failing to respond when sending messages. I just disabled Sygate, and all seems to be ok.

So, what do I need to do with Sygate to get the programme to allow OE to send messages?

And, am I safe leaving Sygate disabled now that I have a firewall in my router?

Thanks -

Andy
