DJ,

The way I do it is to save the outlook.pst file. This contains your
contacts and calendar and all your emails and folders etc. It does not
contain your accounts though.

To save the accounts go into tools and then accounts and export them all as
iaf files. These can then be imported into outlook 2k using the import
button in the tools and accounts window.

You need to keep the iaf files and the outlook.pst file on the pen drive,
but that is about the closest way to the old method I know.

When you install outlook or start using it I believe it will prompt you to
import your outlook express settings, or there is an option to do so in the
file menu.

Hiya guys,

I'm going to switch to the above from Outlook Express, but before I do I've
a few questions.

Is anyone using backup software for Outlook? One of the major things I like
about Outlook Express is I have an app that lets me wrap all my OE stuff up
into one file, that's every single thing, rules, accounts, mailboxes,
address book, even IE favourites.

Pop that onto a pen drive, change to another machine and extract.

I want to have that flexibility with Outlook, is this possible?

Also how has the import tool worked for people?

Cheers
Dj Paddy
