I have started getting very suspicious emails claiming to be from official
American banks, saying I have authorised a payment, not saying what it is for
and giving a link.
I have checked my defences and my email and it has not been compromised, so I
can only think that maybe someone using this list has had their email account
hacked, and therefore an unscrupulous person is using their email address list.
Please, if you write to this list can you make sure that your email address has
not been compromised.
You can check whether your email has been compromised through a website called
haveIbeenpwned.com
Please note the w is not a spelling mistake!
On the website you enter your email address and click the button and it will
tell you if your email has in any way been compromised. In which case, it is
advisable to immediately change your password for the email.
