hi janet well for me i can see the sunu band working in my local area where i
say go down to the shops. the pavements are full of bins parked cars and over
hanging trees. so, this thing at only aprox £250 could be an add-on to my dog
and satnav.
i cannot see it being of any use say in leeds where the pavements are full of
moving people very very noisey and nearly an impossible task for a total to
cope with. walking up to a house where a piano needs tuning though it could be
a great help like in my local area.
i will make this my last on this now because it's not fair to the list to keep
going on. again though you must be aware like the post mandy sent which was
very very good she stated if i purchase something it must work and must be
right.
as a blind person we can go on and on for ever until we are skint paying for
all this stuff. but i do agree one would need some training with all these
devices.
like jackie says safefy is everything especially now a days.
so, janet win the damn lottery.

John, your phone speaks, not the Sunu Band, it is for discreet use.  You
wouldn't want it to sing out about objects, well I wouldn't anyway.
Remember what it is, it is basically an ultrasonic torch, not a speaking
device.  It has no speaker.

All the best

Steve

hi there it would be great if the vibrations had voice tags and actually
speak for example steps down aproaching a 11 o'clocklocklocklock but, it
certainly
sound a real help for a blind person. it will be interesting to see how it
moves forward.

Hi Janet

Yes she does, but I don't always have my dog with me.

doesn't your dog stop at the top of a flight of steps?

Subject: [access-uk] SunuBand question

Could I just ask that if you wear the SunuBand on your wrist, how well
are you protected across the body if you keep your arm by your side or
are holding a dog's harness?  BuzzClip, for example, can be pinned to
your shirt or something on your chest if you wish.  So I am just
wondering how SunuBand, when worn on one side, protects the other?

Something else that comes to mind is how good or otherwise it might be
at dealing with steps or kerbs.  Would there be any indication for
these?

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown
