Hi Mike.
Well, I've never used the Samsung N230 so I cant comment on that particular
model, but the Asus model doesn't pack all that much of a punch when it comes
to sound, having tiny speakers. Its perfectly good enough for speech and
windows audio though, but I wouldn't want to play music through it as the sound
although clear and rich lacks punch and definition. It doesn't distort though
thank heaven, at least not on my own machine.

No problem, any time. The N230 from Samsung will be running Windows 7, and
the Asus EEE PC 1005 which has been around for a while now comes in different
variants, some running XP and some running windows 7.

Two netbooks spring to mind, the Samsung N230 or the Asus EEE PC 1005.
Both are excellent performers and good makes, as well as being king of battery
life, with models offering up to 14 hours of use off the mains.
