Personally I've found this season to be the most complicated ever in knowing where a match is going to be broadcast. I'm talking Premier League here.
The early kick off and one of the 3 O'clock matches on Saturdays tend to be on 5live. The late match is always on Talk Sport. Absolute Radio also has broadcast rights to a 3 O'clock match as well.
As for Sunday, 5live only seems to be able to broadcast the late match with Talk Sport doing the early one and sometimes the mid-afternoon one as well.
Don't ask me about weekday games as I haven't been able to find a pattern here at all..
Talk Sport usually seem to have the rights to broadcast over the internet, I don't think Absolute Radio do but wouldn't like to swear to it. And as for 5live it seems to be hit and miss.
I think I've now made the whole issue harder to understand than ever. I should have kept my subscription to Manu Radio, at least then I wouldn't have missed any games this year because I couldn't figure out where they were being broadcast. At least everyone knows exactly where you can watch Premier League games, why they had to make it so complicated for the radio I don't know.

Jackie, Talk Sport claim to have exclusive rights to the premiership. I have 
found that although that claim is false they do tend to broadcast a lot of
matches so keep checking.

It isn't as straightforward as that though.  Take yesterday as an example.
While Five Live had a variety of studio guests talking about the Premier
League teams among other things, hosted by Colin Murray, the game between
Sunderland and Liverpool was in progress.  John Murray gave periodic
updates. I checked this out via Five Live on the Sky Plus box. Then I went to Talk Sport on my Tune In Radio app on the iPod Touch, and discovered the 
match was apparently "exclusively" live there.

So it isn't really as simple as the BBC not providing a suitable listening
platform in areas where DAB doesn't work.  It is about footballing rights,
and it seems that Five Live aren't having it all their own way any more.
While Colin Murray entertains the listenership with an array of studio
guests and frequent match updates, Talk Sport is broadcasting that game live 
because they have apparently won the rights to.  I noticed they were very
careful to say they would be providing updates of the Chelsea versus
Manchester City game later in the afternoon, the rights for which of course 
belonged to Radio Five Live.

Where it does become annoying, as I've said many times, is when you have a
match in progress on Five Live, which I can get on the Sky Plus box in its
own right, only to find restrictions are in place on such devices as the
Sonata and Apple apps.  But, if the rumours that a recordable Freeview or
similar box is coming out that is fully accessible, then I might go down
that route for radio stations and use one of my Sky gnome frequencies so I
can take it where I want it to be.

so to pick up on Jackie's point the only way for her to listen would be to
take over the TV and listen to them on SKY?
My point here is that Radio Five-Live is a  BBC service.
The BBC should be asked why they can not provide an a method for people to listen to public provided services in areas where DAB is not working.Having 
dealt with rights issues the obligation is on the provider to solve this
problem.
Surely a letter to the BBC Trust,OfCom and MP could start the ball rolling?

Could somebody clarify this issue for me.
Is the problem that these programs are not streamed live so
it is impossible to receive them on any computer?
Or is it the I-Phone which is having problems?
