[access-uk] Spyware, courtesyof Sony: Sony's long-term rootkit CD woes

Don't know if these CDs of Sony's have made it to the UK, but if they have 
then, if your spyware is up-to-date, it should be notifying you of Sony's 
'Rootkit' virus-like software being installed, should you put that Christmas CD 
in your CD ROM drive!

According to BBC News Technology, 21 November,
"The Sony case started innocently enough with a Halloween day blog posting by 
Mark Russinovich, an intrepid computer security researcher. 

Mr Russinovich discovered his own tale of horror - Sony was using a 
copy-protection TPM on some of its CDs that quietly installed a software 
program known as a "rootkit" on users' computers."
