Hello Carol, Ok I loaded Jaws 6 way back last year when it was realest
for download from the Freedom Scientific site and up to now I have had very
little problem with it, I have been in to options and made sure the
spelling box was checked and that every things else is ok in there and it
is, I do use office xp pro 2003 and I have had no problems with this one
either so I am just stuck as what else to try. What anti spam am I using?
as far as I know I have no anti spam on the computer any more I removed
Norton anti spam and every thing else to do with it, I don't know anything
about this at all what is it called? I use AVG anti virus now because of
all the problems I was having with Norton internet security 2005.

Andrew,
Have you recently loaded the latest version of JAWS? Was it after that when you discovered a problem with the spellchecker? What happens when you go to run it?
Some time back, when I installed office for the first time on one of my machines, the spellchecker wouldn't work until I'd loaded a JAWS file . . .. I can't remember the particulars but could dig it out if it's looking to be a similar problem.
Incidentally, I gather today that you're another one of those who is using that Anti-Span service. Others on Access-UK have tried it and it was an absolute menace to everyone to have to keep going and responding to various people's messages. I think, as a result, that people were asked not to use it.
I'm sending this to the list anyway, hoping you see it as a list message, but if you write me privately then my messages may well not reach you.
Hope this may be helpful.
