Hi Vanja, sorry to hear that it didn't work. Just to clarify: when you set one of the languages in the list as default, this correctly unchecks the check spelling in the current language check box, because you are now using the list, and not the check box to specify the language. Unfortunately, the accessiblity of windows live mail doesn't seem to be a priority for microsoft. My only other suggestion would be to run the installer for windows live essentials, and there might be a repair option. Not sure how accessible the installer is though. David. original message: Hmm this didn’t work, bbut thanks very much for your help. When I do what you said, go to uncheck spell in current input box, then go back, check it again, select brittish english, press alt+d to set it as default language, hit apply, then OK, once I go back to the spelling tab, the “check spelling in current input language” box is unchecked again. It seems like alt+d key does not set default llanguage. If you try just pressing enter on it, as you said, the screen loses focus and left mouse clicking with virtual mouse cursor doesn’t seem to do the trick either. I guess I can at some point try to get someone sighted to try and click on to set the default language button to see if that works, but it is strange that this what should be a standard windows dialog box seems to be so inaccessible. Again, thanks for your help.
