Hi Andy and all,

I hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but I sent the text that follows
this paragraph as a separate message on a similar subject to this list under
a different subject heading and have not seen it either here on list or in
my spam folder on my ISP's server.

I am using BT as my internet provider, and I have a btinternet.com e-,mail
address , and although I know that BT have spamguard as a spam filter, I did
try it and found that messages that were meant for me were getting trapped
in the filter, or tagged as spam.

As a result of legitimate messages getting trapped in the filters, I turned
spamguard off.

Now, I can understand such spam as unwanted adverts and the like and if I
see such an item I delete it, however, recently I have been receiving what
look like perfectly legitimate e-mails which do not seem to be for myself.
On examining the addresses of the sender and recipient, I notice that the
recipient is someone else with a btinternet.com address, but their address
does not resemble my own in any way other than containing @btinternet.com
so, my question is how can I stop messages for other btinternet.com users
getting to me?

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.
