Hi all, thanks very much for the input. I have already done everything
that was suggested but to no avail. So, (and I could kick myself) I
went back to the only thing it could be - DropBox. It seems that one
of my folders wasn't set to Smart Sync so it was using my local drive.
I feel rather daft! never mind.

taking up most space.
In any file explorer window if it does not say file or folder not selected
you need to press control space to make sure no file is selected. Once you
hear not selected you simply hit the application key and from the menu move
down to sort by and then select size from the next menu.
The biggest folders hogging up the most space should then be at the top of
the window.
You may have to search through quite a few folders to find the space hogging
culprits. Look for the usual culprits like temporary folders and of course
empty your recycle bin as well.
Even though you have smart sync installed with DropBox you can also free up
space by manually forcing the status of any file in DropBox from local to
online only.

Hi guys,
I have a modest SSD in my laptop. I have an external drive and use DropBox
Smart Sync. So, apart' from a handful of programmes and my core collection
of documents, there's not much else on my actual laptop. However, I only
have around 7Gb of space!
Can someone give me some idea what to do. Is there a way to find out where
all my space has buggered off to?
