Is that to shoot my pc or to shoot Glenn Tilbrooke, the owner of the site
that prompted this query?

Barry

I think the very best way to turn off annoying audio on a web page is to use
a magnum 3 57.
Never fails!

Hi Barry.

How annoying eh? I think this is merely a matter of poor web design. Like
yourself, I tried everything to turn it off and ended up turning my speakers
down. It was very imposing wasn't it? When putting audio onto a web page,
the author can designate particular keystrokes to turn off the audio - I
think, so I believe that this is just a poor web design. No expert but
recognise your annoyance.

Andy
