Hi Barry,

Try installing FlashSwitch from

www.flashswitch.com

I've just visited the site with flash playback set to off and it works. If you want to hear the music just set flash playback back to on. A neat little tool!

Hi Mark

Tried that but it didn't work. Here's a link to an example of one of these
pages:

Barry, if it's a background sound playing then hitting escape will often shut it up and allow you to navigate normally through the page.

How can I stop music playing when I go to web pages? I don't want to
perminently turn off the sounds, I just want to have the option to stop them
once they start.

Using jfw5.1, XP pro and, I think, IE6.

Thanks in advance
