Hi Bary. NO, escape won't work when it comes to flash, just Background sound. I did manage to stop the music by hitting enter on the second button on the Page using the Letter F, but this was very hit and miss indeed. Note however, that this doesn't seem to include Flash content. Also, I've heard IT SAID that you can't silence Wave files in this way with any browser other than IE. hth Cheers, Mark Mark Matthews Cardiff, Wales, UK E-mail/MSN/Windows Messenger: mark.matthews53@xxxxxxxxxxxx Skype: MMatthews1981 Mobile: 07779 147874 Home Page: http://www.qsl.net/gw0wgk/ -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Barry Sent: 01 February 2006 17:27 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Sounds on web pages How can I stop music playing when I go to web pages? I don't want to perminently turn off the sounds, I just want to have the option to stop them once they start. Using jfw5.1, XP pro and, I think, IE6.
