[access-uk] Sound crackling

I'm experiencing a very odd and very annoying problem.

All of a sudden when two or more sounds are playing at the same time through
my Realtech soundcard, I'm getting crackling with my TTS. Doesnt' matter if
I use Window Eyes, dectalk Access 32, Windows Elaquince, Jaws Elaquince.

It doesnt' matter what the audio is coming from, ventrilo server, winamp
playback I get the crackling.

I've updated my Realtech sound drivers to no avail.

One of those, "Just started happening", things.

Anyone ever had this or got a solution?

I'm seriously reluctant to phone the system builders, because as some may
remember they had my computer for 6 or more weeks the last time I did and it
involved it going back twice.

Could it be a bad chip?

Cheers
