Hi, try changing your sound scheme to the Windows Default scheme. This can be done through Sounds and Audio Defvices, in the sounds page. Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] Sound Alarms in MS

Hello List,

I am using Windows XP Pro and Jaws 9 Pro.

Somehow I have managed to turn off the sound notification when:

* Windows starts up - that familiar tune!

* The signing offMS jingle when turning off the computer

* The bell warning when saving a word or other MS document.

Plus ... heavens knows what else!

Any help with rectifying the problem welcome.

Regards

Denis
