I’m learning quite quickly that you’re probably spot on there, David. I should
have bought something more up-to-date. I really want something that can
support the latest OS. Looks like this tablet is going back or for sale.
Cheers

I hope that you get on with the Nexus 7 if it is the Nexus 7 tablet you are
talking about.
Personally I found it very sluggish with TalkBack which gave a slightly unfair
representation of Android Accessibility.
Although it is not a tablet I get a much better experience with the WileyFox
Swift than I ever got with my Nexus 7 which I shifted over to my daughter.

Thanks, Steve. I don’t know what I did, but turning it off and back on sorted
it without needing to do anything else. As a big Apple fan, it is going to be
a steep learning curve getting to grip with this Nexus 7, but I’m going to
percivier.

Hi Barry,
It really depends on whether you have the accessibility shortcut turned on in
settings.
If you do, turn the device off, then power it back on, but put two fingers on
the screen about five seconds after you turn it on. It should come back
talking.
No I don’t know quite how you did it.
Oh hang on though, did you suspend Talkback? If so, just lock the screen by
pressing the power button, then unlock it, and TB should come back.
All the best
Steve

I did an up and right but it only gave me the granularity options. So I tried
other up left and down right combos. I don’t know how I did it, Steve, but all
I managed to do was to turn off Talkbak. This will be useful if I know how I
did it, but it would be more useful to know how to turn it on again. Can you
help?
Cheers

Hi Barry,
Try this. Find the app you want to move. Then do an up then right gesture, a
bit like the letter L, and you should hear Local Context Menu. Now find Move
Item on that menu. Now you can swipe to the place you want to move it to and
double tap when you’re there, or you can just place your finger where you want
it moved. This is a Talkback feature.
All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Sorting apps into folders on Nexus 7
Hi all
I’m trying to sort apps into folders on my Nexus tablet. The instructions I’ve
read say that I should tap and hold one icon then drag onto the one I want to
create a new folder with or over a folder icon. Taking into consideration
Talkback, I Double tap and hold and it says “Long press” then I drag and get no
Talkback feedback. I use gestimate to find where I’m wanting to move the app
but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
Cheers
Barry
