Hi Phil. Nice to see you on list.

Well, must be something wrong with your MD recorder if pressing the
record button whilst recording doesn't give you a track marker. Only
thing you can do is do a divide track on replay, which isn't very
convenient.

Superfi, who are situated in Birmingham the other side of the ringway
and a bit towards the Bullring still sell some MD recorders. There
website lists a few at:

http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/category.cfm/category/88

Only two Sony stand alone decks listed, as well as some portables.
Obviously there's always stuff listed on eBay, and sometimes recyclit
has an MD recorder come up.

There are some semi pro decks still being made by Tascam, but I'd
guess that's more than you want to pay.

Cheers,

From Ray

Hi List
I have a sony MDsJE480 which is a seperat unit and i wondered if
anyone knew how to make a track mark whilst listening to something.
My portable MD remembers where you left it but the larger unit does
not. the manual says that pressing the record button whill do this
but for some reason it does not work. My old unit did this function
with no problem.

Secondly, richer sounds have told me that sony have stopped making
MDs - does anyone else know of this and are there any other
manufacturers who still produce Md players.

Look forward to responses.

Phil
