Thanks for this Jackie. I'm disappointed you can't delete bookmarks,

Billy

Subject: [access-uk] Sonata Radio bookmark info for Billy

Hi Billy

Here is what John has written in reply to the query about bookmarks. I've
learnt something too as I don't use them very much and only have a few radio
stations in mine.

The new Sonata plus is a little different from the original model in that
the creation of bookmarks is carried out differently and the number of
bookmarks can be increased.
Firstly, and for a reason best known to themselves, the manufacturer has
decided to call bookmarks 'shortcuts' on this model. We are not quite sure
of their reasons for this, but the shortcuts/bookmarks work as they are
supposed to.
Secondly the creation of bookmarks is no longer wih the volume dial.
Instead the user simply needs to use the 'back' button when listening to a
publication for the bookmark to be created.
Thirdly the number of bookmarks you can have can be increased from the
default figure of 10 to a maximum figure of 50, but unfortunately there is
still no ability to delete bookmarks from the list. The change of bookmark
numbers is carried out by going in to the media menu and increasing the
figure to the desired amount.
Lastly the bookmarks can be accessed more quickly by using the remote
control and pressing the right hand button on the three buttons set half way
down the control. For those with any vision it is the button with the star
on it.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
