HiMy friend is having problems with the internet. It is bringing up error messages when he goes on line. I don't know exact details but when he looked at the trouble shooting section for the windows up-date page, it told him to go to tools in internet explorer, then to internet options, security, but when he clicks on this nothing happens. I guided him to the same place through the control panel, and did the same thing but he is still having the same problem. It seems as if that part of the control panel has got corrupted, how easy is it to fix? I have told him to run a system check, it didn't help any suggestions please? I have a feeling that this is a more difficult problem. I'm not sure that I can fix it myself and my friend isn't as he isn't technically minded. He doesn't understand how the computer works. I think this is one for a pc technician.
