It's a slot rather like a USB slot for a pen only it's for a memory card. You can use it to transfer files such as music, photos and videos from devices like a phone or digital camera to your computer and vice versa.

What is a card reader? Is it a memory card or does it do more? I cannot locate it to remove the dummy one.

Hi Caroline,

I'd love to know about the card reader as well, I can't seem to find it on my unit.

Hello,

I've tried sending this message to the list a couple of times already but
haven't seen it, so I think it can't have made it through. Apologies if you
suddenly get about four copies of it.

Yesterday I had a brief opportunity to look at the NC10 and was impressed
with it. When I got home, I looked at the specs and saw reference to a
three-in-one card reader. I didn't notice this when looking at the NC10, so please could someone who owns one of these machines please let me know if it
does indeed have a card reader, and if so, where is it situated.

Also, I was wondering how you enable the wireless and bluetooth connections
on the NC10. There didn't seem to be a physical switch on the unit, so I
imagine you must have to use some key combination. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Caroline.
