If you press spacebar on the first button it starts to play, but I agree it is
bad practice for buttons like this not to be able to be read by screenreaders.

Subject: [access-uk] Smooth Radio player: Another access issue?

This might be interesting to some here both for the music on offer, but more
on-topic here, the player being used.

Someone on the UK radio list led me to look at:

  http://www.smoothradiolondon.com/shows/rolling_river_of_rock/

On this page you will find links to listen live or download an MP3 (192kbs
and good quality) so the access issue can be bypassed.

The listen now link brings up a sort of radio player where you can get to the
buttons, but none of these is them is labeled. So, another instance of
damnable falshy nonsense getting in the way of accessability,or what.
Window-Eyes reports penty of buttons without names, and many of them don't seem
to do anything.

Don't know whether I've not sussed this thing out propperly, but I hope it's
not going to be the way of things to come.

Maybe someone else would like to give it a go.

  Cheers
  Ray.
