Mike

Very true

Living where I do now, right down on the Kent coast, I sometimes find myself
on a French network!

Hi Andy,

I think roaming charges are extortionate. I keep roaming to a minimum, and
make sure that push data is switched off. We do have to be watchful though,
very easy to be caught out.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike -

I'm with T-Mobile, and if I understand their policy, I think when I open
Safari when abroad, I will be offered the chance to by a T-Mobile booster
[10 quid for 50mg of data] so hopefully that will avoid roaming charges? I
assume I'll still have to keep roaming on for T-Mobile to see where I am in
the world? I never quite understand why the iPhone has a button to turn
on/off mobile data, as well as one for roaming, unless the first is about
being in one's home country, and the second for abroad? -

Andy
