Hmmm!

Steve, why wouldn't you do this? Do you still use floppies? I very seldom do. This presumably though would mean that any time you did need to check a floppy you'd have to turn it on again? If that's the only catch, I'd go for it.

Hi.

Go into the setup of Fmon, the file monitor, and you can uncheck
floppy
access. I personally wouldn't do this, but you asked <Smile>.

All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Slow start-up, nod32,

Hi,
After installing Nod32 and spybot SD resident, I have been
experiencing slow
shut-down and start-up. I am not witch of the software is
causing this,
but, it sounds that the particular software is checking all of
the drives,
including the floppy drive. I am not sure, but, I think it is
Nod32. Can
someone tell me if it is possible to stop Nod checking the system
at
shat-down and start-up? Using xp home jfw7.

Thank you.
