Jim I can't promise that this is your problem but it sure sounds familiar. hope the information below may be of some use. For other readers of this who think that they have the problem, remember it only applies to Norton 2002 and 2003, be careful! Go to http://www.symantec.com and click on the support link. Choose the search link and type Computer restart is slow after installing Common Client 1.09 update in the search box.
