Hi Mel,

My wife recently bought a small portable VHF radio, for the bathroom for heaven sake. It has a large loop handle on the top, and if memory serves, I thing it cost a five pound note or less. You can leave it on your garden chair, peg it to the washing line, or lay it on the table next to your pina colata.
It's probably cheaper than a sound beacon too.

Hope you don't consider this fatuous, it's not meant to be.

best,

Joe Paton

Hi All,

It would seem that RNIB no longer sells sound beacons. does anyone have
an alternative solution for a blind person to orientate themselves
outdoors?
