Hello Janet,

The Skyq unit is the current receiving unit for Sky television.

When I had a Sky+ unit I also had an old unit called a Sky Talker which
attached to the auxiliary port on the back of the Sky+ unit. The Sky Talker
unit gave speech feedback of channel names and programs which are being
viewed. That, along with the Sky+ app on my phone gave me full access to the
majority of Sky functionality.

The Skyq unit, while adding more functionality has no speech feedback
natively and as it has no auxiliary port it cannot take the Sky Talker unit.

That is the issue with the Skyq unit itself.

The Skyq app on my phone seems a little difficult to navigate at the moment.
I cannot get to the list of all programs on all channels, which used to be
call TV Guide.
I cannot get to the list of recorded programs in order to play a program
which has been recorded.
I do have remote controls that I can talk to to change channels which seems
to work OK.
I have been trying to get it to play New Murdoch Mysteries by saying that
but it just does not recognise my way of saying it, and as I cannot find the
list of recorded programs I am stuck.
It does recognise other program names I ask for.

I hope that explains my issues.

Regards, John.

Hello list,

I have just had a Skyq unit installed.

Is there any way of getting speech feedback from it in order to know what is
on the screen?

Could I please have some clues on how to use the Skyq ap on my iPhone 6.

Thank you.

Regards, John.
