I agree there are some issues, but I would upgrade to 4, just for the audio
quality, it is awesome.

With the window-eyes scripts
you do hear announcements of who comes on and goes off line.  They do work 
with version 4 but vrersion 4 still has some access issues so Skype 
recommend that people using screen readers should stick with 3.8 for the
