Please can I trouble you for the Skype 3.8 corporate download link. I don't

For anyone still preferring Skype 3.8 over later versions and being
nagged to upgrade, here is the corporate version of skype 3.8. A
friend asked for this and I thought I share with the community.

In order not to be nagged about upgrading anymore (or even being
upgraded without permission), do the following:

1. Completely uninstall your current regular "Skype for Windows".
(You may want to use something like the registry cleaner part of
c-cleaner after doing so.)

2. Install the corporate version of skype 3.8

3. In your brandnew shiny Corporate skype 3.8, go to

tools/options/advanced

and uncheck the two checkboxes about update notifications.

You should now be left in peace and not see any furhter upgrade notices.

For anyone running win 7 and wanting to go back to skype 3.x, I have
uploaded a portable version of the corporate skype 3.6 which
supposedly doesn't complain about the operating system being wrong as
skype 3.8 does.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/0n8kko
I only read that in some forum but have not be able to test it myself
as I do not have access to anything newer than win xp.

If anyone does try this portable skype 3.6 under win 7, please let me
know the results.

You will have to get out, i.e. exit your current installed skype to
run the portable version but not uninstall it.
