Sky do already offer it. It is called their Multiroom package. You can
have Sky Plus downstairs for example, and up to another two receivers in
two
separate rooms, but not two Sky Plus boxes, because of the amount of
tuners.
You can have either two Sky Plus boxes in total, or two Sky Plus and two
regular boxes. Or you can have up to four regular boxes, and not have Sky
Plus.

No, the LNB, not sure what that stands for, is mounted on the dish. When
you record one channel and watch another, you have two LNB's. Each dish
can
have up to four LNB's. So the two wires go up to the dish, they can't be
in
the box, as each LNB has to receive a separate signal, in order for you to
watch different channels.

We've got Sky+, there's two wires from the dish to the box. The guy who
installed it told me that's so you can watch one channel and record a
different one at the same time.
My question is this, I think we only have one dish, so why does there have
to be two wires. Surely there's some sort of gizmo in the dish that
splits
the signal into the two wires, so why isn't this gizmo in the box? Also,
why only two and not more. I do actually want to record two channels and
watch a third some times.
