Hi Steve.
Unfortunately I cant get Virgin in my home, I live in a street which Virgin
will not cable due to it only having 21 properties including a block of flats,
it simply isn’t economical for them to do. Also, you don't get nearly as much
content as you do with Sky, the premium movies for instance, you only get about
half the selection of sky channels on the VM platform. If I’m wrong, let me
know and I’ll move straight away *smile*.

I heard it said that the Virgin box wasn’t accessible, perhaps they have a
similar remote control app for their kit? I cant wait to get set up, my
support worker will be over in a matter of moments to help me set the darn
stuff up as I’ve changed routing equipment since I last used the sky box and
wireless adaptor.

Hi Ibrahim, good to know at long last both virgin media and sky have moved
towards a more accessible platform, must though make my iphone the most
expensive remote control on the planet! Getting my VM tivo box on sat, really
looking forward to seeing how good it is! as an aside, when I phoned to order
my tivo box I got my package for £5 cheaper with a upgrade to 60mb internet so
well pleased here!

Hi Everyone.
For those of you who are IPhone, IPod or IPad users, make sure to download the
new Sky Plus app. The update includes the ability to completely control your
sky box if you have it connected to your home router either using a cable or
via the wireless adaptor kit purchasable from the Sky online shop. I’m going
to be testing this out this morning and will report back hopefully some time
today, however if the update proves accessible, this could be the breakthrough
or potentially be so that we’ve been looking for in accessibility to Sky Plus
HD with regards managing the planner and viewing recorded programs etc..
