Oh well! I must have been lucky. I think I've had mine coming up for
four years, and it's still going strong.
In fact, I'll be using mine from late on tonight to listen to the
Australian Open which will be on Eurosport. Brill!

I'd also have to agree with Ibrahim's general impressions of the Gnome.
I found the signal carried for next to no distance, I couldn't even
listen to mine on the next floor to the main unit, and returned it after
a couple of disappointing weeks use.

| What you don't mention is that they are absolutely rubbish. I bought
| one of these fellows as you put it and it cost me 70 quid in to the
| bargain. The speakers on the thing are tinny, the device itself is
very
| heavy and unwieldy having no handle and you don't get much usage out
of
| a single charge. If they are giving them away for free then that's
| perhaps saying something, but they aren't worth buying.
