Hi Andy If you only wish to record the audio feed from your digi box then you could take audio from the scart and put it into the line in of your sound card. If on the other hand you wish to record both the audio and video then you will need an analog capture card (PCI) or a USB2 one (to save opening up the machine). For value I quite like the Hauppauge HVR90 (I think that's the number). It''s USB2 and has built into the small fob a digital and an analog tuner. You connect the rf feed from your digi box to this usb2 device and set up the channels - the digital tuner gets all the freeview channels and the analog side gets channels 1-5 on a normal tv and of course because your feed comes from the digi box the 6th channel containing the sky programs. Yes, you do have to make sure the channel you wish to record is the one you've selected in your digi box but it will record audio described channels if you've set the box to narrative. The only thing you'll have to check is that you have 2 rf outputs otherwise you'll have no picture to send to the TV. Of course if you've only got one rf out you could connect this to the computer (see above) and use the scart socket to send the picture to the tv. Hauppauge's website can help you further (check I've got the number right for the usb2 version - if you don't wish the hybrid card you could buy an analog one alone). There is a new one from Pinnacle too which is hybrid (digital and analog) which records onto the memory stick it comes on. I don't know how accessible the software is - certainly the Hauppauge one is reasonably accessible with the jaws cursor and does have keyboard shortcuts. Hopefully this isn't too much info, but with hauppauge you also get the option to sign up free for a month or so to www.tvtv.co.uk This is a totally accessible site of listings which you can select for recording on your computer. You choose the programme you wish to record, the website sends the info to your computer with the hvr90, the details are logged and your hvr90 records the programme at the specified time. If you're using the digital tuner it will also switch the channels. The site can be accessed by any computer, even mobile phone with web access and assuming your computer with the tuner is on it will send the details to it for recording. I find it works pretty well.
