What about picking up a second-hand early Nokia from E-bay? There are
plenty about, and cheap too!

Can anyone recommend an el boggo, simple, uncluttered, phone which is just a
phone, can perhaps send and receive plain, simple text messages, and ideally
has decent sized buttons?

My aged mother-in-law (80 ish) does want a camera, radio, MP3 player or any
of that rubbish. She simply wants a phone to make and receive calls with,
and receive text messages. She's not even too bothered about sending text
messages.

George.
