One of the reasons I actually went was because of the cost of the products.
Things cost so much and apart from home demo it is the only real chance I get
to get my hands on a device, even if it is in a noisy environment and try
things out. Sometimes I also find things I didn’t know I wanted to see just by
chance.

hi david not just that it's the cost of our tech as well. for me also i could
not gather enough interest to go down to birmingham then change trains and do
the same coming back also, my friend went and one of the echo seminars he
attended was so noisey he walked out. very interesting like you say how long
will these things keep going on i think one of the problems is the cost to
the people who have the stands gets higher ed higher as well.

Hi,
Well, today is the second day of Sight village, and for the first time in
many years I am not able to go, because the new venue is in a place which I
cannot get to by car or train. I hope that next year QAC will find a
different venue, which is nearer to a mainline station!!!
Also I am wondering how much longer these sorts of exhibitions will be held,
as technology is moving on at such a pace.
I have just recently been talking to a young blind lady who now only uses
her iPhone to do all the things that she used to do on a number of devises.
If these exhibitions are to continue we need to see more of mainline
manifactors to be at places like Sight Village.
