Hi. How do you put shortcuts on the desktop as I would like to put Internet
explorer on the desktop as I have to search for it for each time I need to use
it.

I got my husband to put the programmes I use regularly as shortcuts on the
desktop and this works well. You would also need to set Firefox or Internet
Explorer as your default web browser as Edge is still not compatible with
most screen-readers and I’m told the media player isn’t very accessible
either, but I have no personal experience of this.
It’s only fair to add that I am not using Jaws nor NVDA but Window-eyes.
