Hi Christopher, I failed to use this dictionary with later versions of JAWS. Eventually, the full OED access provided by NLB was my solution. Otherwise, the "define:" option in Google sometimes provides me with what I need. Best, Richard Godfrey-McKay

Hello All, A friend, who is not on this list, has the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary on CD-ROM. When she tries to use the dictionary, she gets very little help from JAWS. For example, JAWS will not tell her where to type the word for which she wants a definition. She is using JAWS version 5. I am not a JAWS user, so cannot offer any screen reader advice! Any suggestions gratefully received. Cheers, Christopher ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ NOD32 2367 (20070701) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com
