Hi Ibrahim, I have now installed Windoweyes again and I found this time that to proceed from the first nonspeaking screen I had to use the real right mouse click. From here all went well. I am using the American voice as I find it has better pronunciation. I have one new problem that in emails in outlook the cursors will only read down through a message if I use control with the downarrow. Is there a setting to correct this? I don't have this problem in this area with NVDA. Kind regards and thanks Aedan. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ibrahim Gucukoglu Sent: 02 March 2014 20:20 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Severe trouble installing windoweyes for Office. Hi Ibrahim and Ari, Many thank for the advice. Sandra suggests there is a removal tool on the windwoeyes site if one cannot remove windoweyes automatically. Would any of you know the direct link to this? Kind regards Aedan. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ibrahim Gucukoglu Sent: 02 March 2014 16:41 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Severe trouble installing windoweyes for Office. Hi Ari. There is now a comprehensive laptop layout for Window-Eyes, I cant think of any keystroke that isn't replicated on this layout, you even have a JAWS keyboard emulation function so you can use the hotkeys you would use with JAWS to navigate your way around Window-Eyes though I believe this latter does have some limitations. I'm afraid I'm only just getting started with Window-Eyes and don't use it extensively but there should be no reason not to use it on a laptop. All the best, Ibrahim. -----Original Message----- From: Ari Damoulakis Sent: Saturday, March 01, 2014 9:58 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Severe trouble installing windoweyes for Office. Hi Edan I personally wouldn't bother with Window-eyes on a laptop, as that was the thing that put me off. To explain, Window-eyes mouse keys and many other function keys used the numberpad and a desktop layout. When I once wrote to GW asking them for laptop layout or for the keystrokes to do things on the laptop, they told me I must assign each keystroke myself, they seemed unsympathetic to laptop users. The manual of the version I had was also mainly focused on desktop use. On 3/1/14, Aedan O'Meara <aedanomeara@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi Sandra, > Sincere thanks for this, just what I need.
