Thanks for that James. incidentally about the disabling of the touch pad was that for the NC10 as well as the Advent? Fn and F10 combination?

Go into any folder on your computer, set it to list in the view menu, then go to the tools menu, folder options, and there is a button called 'Apply to all Folders'. Press that, and all folders will be set to list.
