Hi Eleanor

Ok yes I could buy one from say dolphin but as you rightly
said they are much more expensive. The one I am using came
from laptops direct and luckily they will ship to France for
an extra £29 but I also want to get the best package for the
money. I am inclined to Waite until just after Christmas
when they will be bringing out new models. I could of course
buy one in France but I will get a french keyboard and that
is very different to the qwerty keyboard. Of course you have
to shop around.

Thanks for asking your friend, there must be other companies
who will ship overseas.

Adrien

Adrien
Could you not buy then from a company that supplies
accessible software to
visually impaired people. Maybe these companies would ship
laptop to France
and maybe they would even do XP Pro. I have a few companies
in mind but I
guess you know them as well as I do. I realize they are
sometimes much more
expensive but you need to weigh up the cost if one of these
companies can do
it for you and ship it. I will ask a friend of mine to ask
her brother who
is blind and working in Brussels where he got his laptop
from and get back
to you off list if she can get me the information.

Eleanor
