[access-uk] Re: Searching recent additions on new RNIB TB site

Jackie and Barry I too have complained bitterly about their latest attempt at getting a good website up together and was told phrase 2 of the development is coming in soon, so what this will bring for us remains to be seen.
I am slowly getting to grips with it but would like it to be as simple as the older site.
Still progress must go on.

Yes, I see what you mean, Jackie.  Perhaps the best of both the old and the
new site would be the way to go.

Hi Barry

I wouldn't go so far as to say it is better than the old one, certainly in
terms of layout.  I still believe its layout could be better when you listen
to JAWS, for example, saying "clickable this" and "clickable that."  But you
are right in that it gives us more control over our lists.  It's coming ...
slowly! I would still prefer to have a table for each title giving the
author, name of the book, TB number, reader, date added, whether it is part
of a series, and of course a synopsis.  I would also like to see the
OverDrive website adopt the same format.  For those who are either new to
browsing, or who aren't confident enough to fiddle about, we do need a
simpler layout, and I have told RNIB this more than once!

Kind Regards,

Jackie Brown

Yeah, it just gives the last three months of new titles.  Much easier.  Got
to say, this new site took a little getting used to, but now that I have, I
think it is much better than the old one.  There's one or two little issues
that I will let them know about, but I like it otherwise.  The best for me
is that there is more control for us.

Cheers

Hi Barry

There is a link that takes you direct to the new additions section from the
home page.  If you bring up the links list, type N and it should I believe
get you there.

Subject: [access-uk] Searching recent additions on new RNIB TB site

Hi all

Is it possible to search for recent additions on the new RNIB talking book
site?  With the old site, I used to just do a search for all books and set
the date parameters to the last month or two.  Is it possible to do similar?

Cheers

Barry
