Hi Andrew

As the windows 10 updates are normally in March and September I guess we should
be due 2009 shortly, will google it and check. Cheers!  Graham

Hi Graham

Appreciate your reply, thanks. I had not spotted any online forums mentioning
it, but if others, as you mention, have exposed the issue, I wonder if MS will
do something about this useful index tool. Although I do find discussion around
that Cortana is on it's way out.

Hi Andrew

It sounds like you have updated to windows 10 2004, they've broken the
indexing in the search box in the latest release which is why it isn't
working for you or me for that matter and if you google it then there
are a lot of people having this problem.  I think as you open files
etc using an alternative method the indexing Will build back up again.
There are various fix's suggested on the web but haven't tried any.
Cheers!  Graham

I used to use Cortana as a very quick way of going to sub-folders and files
anywhere on my C: drive. Recently, it has stopped finding  folders and files
and just wants to direct me to the web? Using Windows 10.

Have I accidently changed a setting. I have tried to set it to search for
folders/files in settings, but it does not work?
