Hi Roger,
I'm not Jonathan, but suggest you go to Control Panel, Power Options and
select, "Choose when to turn off the display". There's a drop down list called
"When to turn off the display". At the bottom of the list is "Never".
Noy always a good idea if you are conscious about electricity costs, so you may
wish to just select a higher time.

Did as you said but it seems I don't have a Screen-Saver set up. Therefore have
you any ideas what may be causing the cut outs please?

Press the windows key and r together.
In the box that launches, paste this the following line and press enter.
%windir%\system32\control.exe desk.cpl,screensaver,@screensaver
Then just select "none" from the dropdown box and you're done :)
