Hi All

It's happened!! I've got to the stage when I'm crying out for a book that's only in print so I've got to scan it in to be able to read it. It was inevitable but I've put it off as long as I could. Now it's brain picking time. I need to know how in idiot level language.

I have an Epson Perfection scanner, Fine Reader, Textbridge and the scanner has some OCR software with it but I'm not too sure what at this stage. When it's done I assume my screen reader will read it to me as it is called up from the file containing it. This means I have to sit at the computer to read it which is not my fave place for reading. I know there is TextAloud but is there any other software out there that will allow me to make a MP3, or similar, disc to play on disc players? I don't have anything like a Book Courier so that avenue is closed to me.

Your help would be most appreciated as this is totally new ground to me and talk slowly and carefully so I have a chance of understanding please.

Roger

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
