Hi Steve/Claire,
Assuming your laptop keyboard layout uses the caps lock as the JAWS key the two
key sequences you will need are:-
Root JAWS to PC = Caps lock with Dash.
Right click = Caps lock with the figure 9, that is the figure 9 on the number
row above the letters.
Hope that helps,
Andrew

Hi Claire,
I don’t know the JAWS laptop layout to be honest, as I have a number pad on my
laptop.
But what you could do, is go into Keyboard Manager, Insert+F2 then down to
Keyboard Manager, then look for the Right Click key and the Route JAWS To PC
keys and they would perform the same functions for you.
If you need me to research it, I could, but that would be a paid project I’m
afraid.
All the best
Steve

Hi Steve, I do have both NVDA and JAWS, ed you explain the route JAWS function
but using the laptop keystrokes? I don't have a number pad as I don't use a
full keyboard with my laptop.

Hi Claire,
I don’t know what screen reader you are using, but route the mouse to the
graphic and right click it.
In the case of JAWS, press G until you hear the graphic you want, then route
JAWS to PC by pressing Insert+Dash on the number row, then right click, using
the Numpad Star key. Now you might find the save as option works as JPG, but
not all images are scrapable from a web page, especially if they are embedded.

Hi Steve and Mo, thank you both for your repplies. Ok so I have tried
everything and there are some save as options, but they're all offering to save
as HTML files, rather than just the picture. I need. Yes the images are free to
use of some products, but I just can't save them, others can do it really
quickly but I'm struggling to replicate that here.
Warm regards,

Hi,
You should have a save as option in the right click menu.
But be sure that you are allowed to use the image before you put it on
websites, it could get you into hot water.

Subject: [access-uk] Saving graphics from websites
Hi everyone, I have a question for those who use JAWS or NVDA with Firefox. I
am on a website and there is a picture I would like to download and save to use
for a project. I used to know a way of doing this, but can't remember it now.
Could someone tell me if it is possible to somehow highlight and save the image
as a Jpg or other image file? Thank you.
Warm regards,
