Yes, thanks for general agreement on this one. These messages are particularly difficult to filter out because they random subjects and senders' names. I did try Spamjab fairly recently and, again, found they filtered out that which I wanted to read. With this current batch, no sender crops up a second time <Smile>

Ugh! I only wish that I could get rid of my email address without the hassle but, actually, it's the main one NTL issued us when we joined and I understand (although of course we don't have to use it) it's there to stay.

hi, unfortunately, the other problem with spam filters, is they sometimes
filter out legitimate messages. i've been using a 3rd party program called
cloudmark, (can dig out the URL if you like). unfortunately, whilst this
program is highly rated, it does occasionally treat legitimate messages as
spam, but this is the case with all such programs. i've stopped using it for
the minute, as the most recent version, 2.12 that is, seems not too like my
email hosts server and won't allow the download of messages from that
address. apart from that, it's a good program. but which ever road you go
down, none is infalible, and you should probably check the folder your
"spam" is filtered too in case of wrongly filtered messages. thus not really
helping much in the long run.

Hi all,

Well, again I need to ask advice what to do with this rubbish. Much of
what
I receive is just a jumble of sentences, which often make little sense and
I
don't care to read anyway. There's quite a bit each day though and I'm
totally fedup with it. I don't recognise any of the addresses from which
this rubbish comes.

What should I do, please?
