[access-uk] STRANGE WORD 2010 PROBLEM

My wife has just encountered a strange prob with Word 2010.
A document can be opened and seen by Jaws, but her screen looks just like a
desktop, either with or without Jaws.
Documents can be opened in Wordpad.
Any ideas please?
